Terms of Service

1. Nature of the Service

This platform operates as a crowdfunding facilitator designed to connect team coaches and organizers ("Organizers") with individuals wishing to support specific causes ("Contributors"). We provide the infrastructure for these connections but do not act as a party to the actual fundraising commitments.

2. Financial Role and Limitations

• Not a Financial Institution: We are not a bank, money transmitter, or financial services provider.
• No Escrow: We do not hold, manage, or store funds in escrow. All monetary transfers are initiated through our third-party payment processor.
• Third-Party Processing: All payment processing is handled by Stripe. By using this service, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3. Fees and Payments

• Service Fees: We collect a platform service fee in addition to standard payment processing costs.
• Fee Adjustments: While we aim to maintain stable pricing, we reserve the right to adjust our platform service fees at any time.
• External Fees: You acknowledge that third-party processing fees (including but not limited to Stripe fees) are outside of our control and may fluctuate. Any such changes will be reflected at the point of transaction.

4. Account and Cause Governance

• Right to Suspend: We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to any user account or active cause at any time, for any reason, at our sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice or liability.
• Broad Authority: This includes, but is not limited to, actions taken for violations of these terms, suspected fraudulent activity, failure to complete verification, or any activity we deem harmful to the platform or our community.
• Limitation of Liability: CoachBoosters shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or missed fundraising opportunities resulting from the suspension or termination of an account or cause.

5. Refunds and Reversals

• Discretionary Actions: We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to issue refunds or initiate charge reversals at our sole discretion.
• Dispute Resolution: In the event of suspected fraudulent activity or violation of these terms, we may proactively reverse transactions to protect the integrity of the platform and our users.

6. Organizer Commitments

When creating a cause, Organizers are required to sign a digital commitment regarding the intended use of funds. While this serves as a formal declaration of intent and a requirement for platform use, you acknowledge that this commitment is not a legally binding contract between the platform and the Organizer.

7. Verification and Anti-Fraud

To maintain the integrity of our community and decrease the likelihood of fraud, we reserve the right to require ID verification for any user creating a cause. Failure to provide requested identification may result in the immediate suspension of the cause or account.

8. Limitation of Liability

CoachBoosters is not responsible for the actions of Organizers or the ultimate distribution of funds once they have been processed through our third-party provider. Users contribute at their own risk.
